Faith in the Word Ministry is a multicultural, non- denominational church. We are a fact finding, bible based church for all people. We have established connections and fellowships with Hispanic and South American communities and churches.It is our desire to base our confession and life on the word of God. Established on the fundamentals of faith, we aim to please God as we live kingdom lives and deliver the kingdom to all man kind. In the years to come we strive for more ministries that develop faith and wholeness for the entire family. We take concern for the lost, confused, battered, and shattered as we reach our local communities, our region, our nation, and the world. We extend the invitation to ministry partners and investors around the globe to join us as we reach for higher heights and deeper depths in Christ.

We are James & Gloria King , Apostle & Prophetess of Faith In The Word Ministry in Georgetown, South Carolina. We are the founders of Faith In The Word Ministry. Our church is for all people. Our focus is towards the entire advancement of the total man as we plea for those who need direction, compassion, and love. We are commissioned by God to prepare people as they become more enlightened through the teachings of the Bible.
We are excited about our service to God. We look forward to a hopeful future as we build upon the foundation that Jesus Christ laid. We are a five fold ministry of Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers according to Ephesians 4:11-12. We specialize in the equipping of all other ministry gifts. We encourage, teach, support, and love.

God has anointed us with a yoke destroying anointing, to tear down strongholds, bind up the works of the enemy, and set captives free. We are dedicated to holiness, true worship, and a life lead by the spirit and word of God..

Apostle Ethelared James King gave his life to God one night during a revival. That same night as the Elders and Mothers of the church prayed, he began to hear a sound from afar as a rushing mighty wind. As the sound grew closer it became louder until it overshadowed him. He was endowed with the power of the Holy Ghost, and refers to his experience as his present day book of Acts Pentecost. From that experience until present he accredits his salvation to Christ's merciful love, who allowed the enemy to touch the circumstances of his personal life.

The Holy Spirit began to show the Man of God many hidden treasures of the Bible, and positioned him among people who could deposit a fundamental knowledge as well as an understanding of the Bible. After a foundation of Biblical knowledge was established, the Holy Spirit began to inspire him to teach the gospel. God instructed him to, "Teach the people how to develop a relationship with Jesus Christ, and not to focus on the religious dogmas of denominations." This message did not settle well as many today struggle and fall victim to the false pretenses of worship based on denominational religious doctrine. He continued to minister "Relationship not Religion," and the development of a relationship with God by faith.

God instructed him and Prophetess Gloria King to begin a ministry, and to call it Faith In the Word Ministry. He said to them "Walk, Live, and Breathe by faith in my word!" Signifying that everything surrounding this ministry would be birthed by faith and not by sight. (II Corinthians 5:7) On Saturday January 5, 2002 Apostle King and Lady King opened the doors of the church, in the living room of their home. The ministry started small but has and is continuing to grow.

The Lord moved and a building was founded at 2301 Prince Street in Georgetown, SC our current home location. God confirmed the call of God on their lives by speaking to and sending a Pastor/Prophetess to morning worship service to present Apostle with a robe fitting for his position. She stated "God showed me your face in a dream, but He did not reveal your full name or the reason He showed you to me. As I prayed for understanding God told me to give this robe to the man in the dream whose name is King!"

From that day God has dealt mightily with the man and woman of God and has carried them into a place in Him where the power of God rests on their lives. They both walk in an intercessory ministry, demonic deliverance ministry, and a powerful miracle and healing ministry. They have stayed before God to cultivate a true five fold ministry in Faith in the Word Ministry.

God is elevating and moving them and the ministry into a realm of Global Ministry. With partners in Brazil, Mexico, and Africa.
